The Tanzanian Youth and Children (TYC) is a membership-based non-governmental organization (NGO) founded by Sir Jacint Mene, in 2017 as Community Based Organization (CBO) and finally registered as NGO in 2022 with registration number 00NGO/R/3052 to respond to some of the development needs of the communities. TYC is established by a group of concerned voluntary Tanzanians. Sister Jacint. Mene collaborated with Sr. Magreth from the Franciscan Sisters of Lady of Poor, along with the support of community well-wishers. The organization's mission focuses on promoting the welfare and development of youth and children in Tanzania, particularly those who are disadvantaged or vulnerable.
